1 What is Supercell?
Supercell was founded in 2010 in Finland by several people from the Finnish game industry who invested their savings into the company.
The founders also borrowed money from Finland’s technology-funding arm.
Helsinki-based Supercell originally made games for multiple platforms, including for web browsers and Facebook, but decided in 2011 to make games for mobile devices only.
Supercell employs about 180 people and has offices in Finland, San Francisco, Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing.
